Before/After School Care
Please ask your school directly about before and after school care opportunities. Each school has different programs available for your convenience.
Board of Education
Regular Board of Education meetings take place on the 4th Wednesday every month at 7:00 PM unless otherwise specified. They take place in the first floor Boardroom at our Central Offices located at 382 Long Hill Avenue. Districting

Flyers
If you would like to distribute flyers to any of our schools, your flyer must first be approved by the Superintendent. Please send flyers to Kayleigh Sheridan via email for approval.
Fundraising
Any group within the Shelton Public Schools community that wishes to fundraise for their organization must submit a request in writing to the Board of Education, which will then be presented to the Board for approval at a regular monthly Board meeting. Please send requests to Kayleigh Sheridan via email.
Outside groups wishing to donate funds to Shelton Public Schools must submit a donation request letter to the Board of Education, which will then be presented to the Board for approval at a regular monthly Board meeting. Please send requests to Kayleigh Sheridan via email.
Lunch Program
Please be advised that breakfast and lunch are NOT free for the 2023-2024 school year. Please ensure your child arrives at school with a lunch or that their account has funds. To apply for free/reduced lunch, please complete the following application: Free/Reduced Application
Pre-K
Shelton is proud to offer a no-cost, five day per week, half-day Pre-Kindergarten program at Long Hill and Mohegan Elementary Schools for students aged 3 and 4 deemed eligible for Special Education services, with some limited spaces available for typical peers. *Be advised that according to Public Act 23-208, Section 1(a), students MUST turn 5 on or before September 1, 2024 to enter Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Superintendent and the Board of Education do not monitor or respond to social media posts. Please bring questions and concerns directly to the Superintendent's office via phone or email.
Student Records/Transcripts
Student academic records can be obtained directly from the school your child attended most recently. High school transcripts and diplomas can be obtained directly from Shelton High School.
If you need to request records from a previous school for transfer to Shelton, please use this form and submit to your child's Shelton school: Release of Records Form
Working Papers/Volunteering
Working papers and approved volunteer opportunities can be found through Shelton High School. Please call (203) 922-3004 between 7:30 AM and 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.
