 “Angie Ferro is that rare student athlete that equally excels both in the classroom and on the field. She is a 2011 captain where she plays forward and leads the team in scoring.  Her leadership is a key contributor for the Gaelettes earning the Housatonic Division championship this season. Her on-field achievements coupled with her tremendous academic performance are testament to Angie's ongoing commitment to excellence in everything she does.

The SCC Scholar Athlete of the Month program is sponsored by the Sports Center of Connecticut and recognizes student athletes who have a minimum of a B (3.0) overall and earn a varsity letter.  Student athletes also demonstrate leadership qualities by being a positive role model both on and off the field and show commitment to self-improvement and put their team before themselves.
